We all know why business travel has been cut back the last two years. We get it. But now we must ask ourselves, "Are we getting all we need by video-conferencing from a temporary home office?"

The answer is a resounding "no." And here's why:

FACE-TO-FACE PERSONAL MEETINGS CANNOT BE REPLACED.

At a major trade exposition, if you plan ahead, you'll be able to connect not only with existing customers who are going to attend, but also with your sales representatives, key prospects (both that you know about... and those whom you'll find out about) and other key suppliers. Plus connect with others within the industry that can become friends and mentors.

WHERE ELSE DO YOU SEE A PREVIEW OF THE "LATEST & GREATEST" BEING BROUGHT TO MARKET FIRSTHAND?

Seeing something new in the flesh is much more exciting that being introduced to an on-screen image of video when you're in your pajamas trying to wake up much later than usual. Being able to see and touch and demo new products can open your eyes to new business practices.

IN-PERSON SEMINARS

Are you able to hone up on your business in a more concentrated way than by attending key seminars given by top industry professionals? Plus most of these seminars have time slotted for Q & A. Check out the seminars list online of any show you're considering attending, and see for yourselves the level of talent brought into the seminar program.

DON'T FORGET THE MEDIA WILL BE THERE TO COVER THE EVENT.

Maybe it's time for you to sit down with industry magazine editors and tell them why they should consider featuring your products and/or services in their upcoming issues.

MEET THE TEAM BEHIND YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCTS. Knowing the people behind the products can make a huge difference in how you use a tool.

We love attending in person events and having real conversations with contractors using our tools. We even learn new tricks for teh tools. In person events are great and we highly recommend them.
